Isn’t God Good?

Tonight is Night 541 for The Fire & Glory Outpouring and this is the 84th time that I’ve watched from home. Our dog, Bones, is laid out between my legs while I recline on the couch and type with my right hand and hold the laptop to my chest with my left. Jerame Nelson asked the question above and my answer is a resounding “Yes!”

I can’t stress enough that if you feel it’s to far to travel to Heart of God Church in Rancho Bernardo (a community of San Diego) or if you’re really too busy to make it, you can watch the revival LIVE on Youtube. You can also watch at

Today I had a great time writing and talking about my recent experiences with the love of Jesus at Perks Coffee House in San Marcos. (If you’re reading this, send me a text! You know who you are!)

My computer’s acting up so I’ll wrap this up with a couple great songs of the day. (Plus, Fire & Glory is done with the offering and now it’s time to listen to Miranda Nelson preach!)

God bless you!

Fire & Glory Outpouring @ 500+

Tonight will be Night #511 of the Fire & Glory Outpouring. Watch it at and don’t forget the Elisha Revolution app for your phone!

For those who haven’t read it, here’s where I started this part of my journey with the Lord. I’ll give you a minute to read it…Go ahead. I’ll wait.

Thanks for reading that post about my experience at Power and Love in Pasadena in April of 2016. Not only did I hear Todd White speak, but I also heard a missionary named Heidi Baker.

Heidi and her husband, Rolland, minister to the poorest of the poor in Mozambique and have started many churches through their ministry, Iris Global. (One of the reasons Heidi is special to me is she is the first person I remember hearing call God the Father by this name: Daddy God. I loved that the first time I heard it and now I usually refer to Daddy God when I pray, as in: Holy Spirit, Jesus and Daddy God.)

Oceans of people have come to know Jesus because of Heidi & Rolland and they are spiritual Mama & Papa to many.

Tonight, one of those spiritual sons will be the speaker at the Fire & Glory Outpouring in Rancho Bernardo. His name is Dr. Gershom Sikaala. I expect great things and so should you! Join me at Fire & Glory at 7 pm tonight! Watch online!

Today’s song of the day is “Rescuer” by Rend Collective.

Press On!

See Jack Preach

If you’re like me you like to see different preachers throughout the year. We love Mike McClenahan at Solana Beach Presbyterian Church and Mark McElwee at Heart of God Church in Rancho Bernardo and others in our local area, but the Fire & Glory Outpouring has let us see probably 30 other preachers from around the world in the last year and a half.

Tonight we’ll see Charlie Robinson from Canada to close out that revival’s “I Got The Joy” conference.

This morning we decided to do something different and see Jack Hayford at Grace San Marcos. We even saw a friend from Fire & Glory who, when she saw us, said something like, “You guys are everywhere!”

My wife and I do get around and that led us to the 10 am service this morning as I really wanted to see Dr. Hayford preach because I had never had the privilege before today. We were greeted as soon as we came through the door by Brian Bauer and others. Brian is Jack Hayford’s grandson and the pastor at Grace here in San Marcos. You can read more about Brian and his wife, Melissa, at the Grace link above.

Personally, I urge you to see more than just the preacher at your local church. Even if you can’t attend you can watch a lot of preaching and worship on Youtube.

There’s a long list of wonderful speakers that I could share, but here’s a few to get you started:

Jerame & Miranda Nelson (Elisha Revolution/Fire & Glory)

Shawn Bolz

Darren Stott

Sam Robinson

Georgian & Winnie (Coco) Banov

Mahesh & Bonnie Chavda

Chad Dedmon

Tony Kim

Kris Kildosher

Patricia King

David & Stephanie Herzog

I hope you’ll check out each one of them on Youtube!

By the way, we loved Jack’s preaching this morning along with the worship.

Here’s the song of the day which I searched out early this morning and finally found on this list from Air1.

Caleb Has Entered The Building

Last night was night 450(!) for the Fire & Glory Outpouring and it was night 181 for me. (That’s right, my wife and I are still attending revival regularly!) On the way in a friend and I met Caleb, who has watched Fire & Glory online for four months. Awesome!

Joining worship online at home is wonderful, but Caleb decided to drive from the Ramona area to Heart of God Church in Rancho Bernardo and be physically present with us to worship Jesus in Spirit and Truth. Readers of my blog know that I have done both (including nearly 60 times from our living room or bedroom in our home). I have to give an “edge” to worshiping in the meeting “elbow to elbow” with all the other worshipers. Yet, even worshiping from home is powerful. I was blown away months ago when I first felt the presence of God in my living room while watching/worshiping online. If you are in San Diego County or nearby I encourage you to join us like Caleb did. Last night was night 3 for Caleb. How cool is that!?

What I’ve been told is that each one of us brings something different to worship and I guess that means that worship was a little better because Caleb was there Sunday night. Jerame Nelson also added his voice and preached not long after returning from the revival in London, England! Come and add YOUR voice to our worship!

Here’s one fun thing that’s been happening for me recently:

Maybe a dozen times in the last month the Lord has highlighted a song to me in the early morning. So far, every time it’s been a different song! Here’s this morning’s song – I Won’t Let You Go by Switchfoot.

Now What? Worship God!

Today is the day after Christmas, 2016.

Are you ready to move ahead or will you wait until January 2, 2017? (There’s all that football and maybe family and MAYBE recovering from the night before on New Year’s Day.)

Will you move ahead while keeping that Christmas Spirit all year long?

We have access to the TRUE Spirit of Christmas if we want it.

Of course, I’m talking about Holy Spirit.

Do you want more of the Holy Spirit in your life, that is, more INTIMACY with Holy Spirit? You CAN have that greater intimacy.

I have a strong suggestion.

Worship God more. In Spirit and in Truth.

This year has been quite a year with Almighty God for me and my family. Things REALLY picked up in April. After Power & Love in Pasadena I shared songs that encouraged my faith.

What I’ve found throughout the year is that I’m learning to love NEW songs that I hear in worship and on the radio (Thanks, Air1!).

Through worshiping God at the Fire & Glory Outpouring AND my home church (Solana Pres) and even watching worship on Youtube I have been stretched by God in my capacity for worship. I asked God to stretch me when I first entered this revival back when it took place in Rancho Bernardo.

Since I asked God to stretch me in worship what I’m about to say may not come as a big surprise, but maybe you’ve never thought of it before. I know I have.

I have wondered over the years what it would be like to bring in the new year worshiping with other believers. That’s what my wife and I will do this year.

Join us and Jerame & Miranda Nelson and a special guest or two at Fresh Awakening at Summit Church (that’s where Fire & Glory Outpouring moved months ago after Rancho Bernardo).

Of course, if you can’t make it to Summit Church in San Marcos you can watch on Youtube!

Again, I urge you to worship God in Spirit and Truth more often.

One way is through music and singing. (Yes, I do listen to more than just Crowder.)

Here’s a gifted helper, Lauren Daigle, to assist you in worshiping God.

Wow! (Really.)

Wow! (Really.)

I just got done singing thanks to God a few minutes ago. I like to sing to God as worship. That’s just one thing I’ve realized since I’ve been worshiping the Trinity in this “long form” style of worship.

My brother and his wife are coming to Rancho Bernardo tonight to join the growing crowd. I didn’t necessarily expect to go, but I feel more energized to go after singing to God less than 20 minutes ago.

Wednesday night was service #168 or thereabouts. Yesterday it was nice to be alone with my wife while she spoke in tongues. It’s pretty amazing.

I hope you join us at Heart of God church in Rancho Bernardo for revival. The leaders aren’t asking you to leave your church, but to just come to revival for about three and a half hours starting at 7:30 tonight. Google it or google Living At His Feet Ministries.

Also, be aware of the upcoming Fresh Awakening from September 1st through 4th at a different location. (Maybe Summit across from Cal State San Marcos?}

[The photo is my wife and me from earlier this summer with a retiring colleague across 78 from Cal State San Marcos.]

Come one, come all!

Good Things Are Happening

On the 4th of July I saw my cousin Debi at her brother Kevin’s house in Vista where some of our family went to see the fireworks display from blocks away. She asked me if I am still blogging.

Yes! The drought or writer’s block or whatever is now over!

Last night I went to the Fire & Glory Outpouring for the third time. This is pretty special and I urge you to attend at least three times before it moves on.

This revival started in January when they began with the intention to do four nights of revival. Last night was night #150 – give or take. ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY nights so far! If you’ve never been to a revival, this is a wonderful place to start. One of the main speakers, Jerame Nelson, is careful to let people know that this is about God’s Love and commmunion (my word – NOT meaning the sacrament here) with the Holy Spirit.

These worship sessions are also NOT designed to get you to switch churches. Your church is your church. If you have no church, I’d be willing to venture that the Heart of God Church in Rancho Bernardo welcomes you. As a disclaimer I’ll let you know that I’m a member of Solana Beach Presbyterian Church in Solana Beach, California. (We’ll welcome you as well.)

My wife has been getting a lot out of participating in these worship/revival sessions and she’s been there in the neighborhood of 15 or 20 times. (She even speaks in tongues now, but I’ll share about that another time!) I visited for the third time last night and it is really something to have your idea of worship stretched and to leave your comfort zone of what you’re currently doing.

Last night was about 3 1/2 hours which started with worshipful singing & praise for about an hour and 20 minutes and then Jerame preached for what I’m pretty sure was about the same length of time. Then we had some more praise and singing with many of us coming up front and standing.

Why do I urge you to attend at least three times?

Since I was in the Pasadena healing conference a few months ago I’ve been coming to understand more about “practicing” connecting (again, my word) with the Holy Spirit. I love that we can give ourselves the grace to practice even though we might sometimes be incorrect in our understanding of what’s going on in a particular situation. As I see it, that’s freedom. God intends for us to have that freedom as we learn.

My first two times in Rancho Bernardo I was getting used to how these sessions go. Last night I was more familiar and more ready. Maybe you will be ready on day one. With decades in the Presbyterian Church I was not used to these long sessions, but I was and am open to these new (to me) experiences of worshiping God.

I’ve been meeting with a couple men from my church to study and pray for about 20 months and one of the questions I’ve asked is this:

If we are utterly convinced that God would never send us (or anyone) on a trip or mission to Poland (or Vancouver or Las Vegas or Pasadena or Cameroon or Pakistan or Brazil or Ghana, etc…), then how can God ever move us to do that or go there? If it’s part of our basic belief system that God would never call us to leave California, then HOW does he get through to us when he wants us to move to Vancouver, British Columbia?

I believe most of us can see a problem with an assumption that God would NEVER have us do a certain task as described above.

What if you believe that God would never have YOU speak in tongues? I am open to it, yet I haven’t done it. My wife was definitely open to it and now she does. But this post isn’t about speaking in tongues.

What if you believe something like this?

“What extra good could possibly come from a worship service that takes three or four hours or more?”
“What’s the point in having a service that long?”
“What’s wrong with my 75 minute service?”
“It’s just not necessary to have the service go that long!”
“I couldn’t possibly be in worship that long.”

Well, if you believe that you should never attend a service that takes this long, is it possible that you’re missing out?

If you know that it’s about God’s love and interacting (my word) with the Holy Spirit and no one is trying to get you to switch churches, why not stretch your comfort zone and come participate?

Last night (my third time) I felt God help me worship him and he gave me more joy and laughter in the process.

What if I had just stayed home and watched TV?

Check out Jerame’s Youtube Channel. I expect them to have last night’s session up soon, but July 9th is up already and you can see my wife, Marianne, walk up to the front at the 2:46 (two hours and forty-six minutes) mark. You can watch that below:

You can also watch these sessions live over the internet as they happen if you can’t attend or are convinced that you shouldn’t attend or if you live far away.

God Bless You!
