Fire & Glory Outpouring @ 500+

Tonight will be Night #511 of the Fire & Glory Outpouring. Watch it at ElishaRevolution.com and don’t forget the Elisha Revolution app for your phone!

For those who haven’t read it, here’s where I started this part of my journey with the Lord. I’ll give you a minute to read it…Go ahead. I’ll wait.

Thanks for reading that post about my experience at Power and Love in Pasadena in April of 2016. Not only did I hear Todd White speak, but I also heard a missionary named Heidi Baker.

Heidi and her husband, Rolland, minister to the poorest of the poor in Mozambique and have started many churches through their ministry, Iris Global. (One of the reasons Heidi is special to me is she is the first person I remember hearing call God the Father by this name: Daddy God. I loved that the first time I heard it and now I usually refer to Daddy God when I pray, as in: Holy Spirit, Jesus and Daddy God.)

Oceans of people have come to know Jesus because of Heidi & Rolland and they are spiritual Mama & Papa to many.

Tonight, one of those spiritual sons will be the speaker at the Fire & Glory Outpouring in Rancho Bernardo. His name is Dr. Gershom Sikaala. I expect great things and so should you! Join me at Fire & Glory at 7 pm tonight! Watch online!

Today’s song of the day is “Rescuer” by Rend Collective.

Small Beginnings

Since I came back from Pasadena in April of 2016 I have new habits. One (or two) of these habits is asking Holy Spirit how much to give. I do this when we make an offering and often when I encounter a person living on the street or in a recovery program or someone who is traveling and may not have a place to stay.

I have taken a few guys to lunch and even prayed with people who accepted Jesus or rededicated their life to him! I’ve done this alone and with two friends, Mike and Richard, in Oceanside, San Marcos, Escondido, Encinitas, Monrovia, Pacific Beach, Pasadena, Palm Springs and Kauai!

In trying to give some help I’ve offered rides to the Fire & Glory Outpouring and made plans with more than one person. One man let me drive him to the revival a couple times, but he had some mental health issues and it became difficult for him. Another told me where to meet him last night and yet he didn’t show up.

A homeless woman who made plans with me to move her stuff didn’t show up on two separate occasions. Twice I invited two different sets of friends to help us with the project and both times she wasn’t at the storage facility. Yet another woman seemed excited and grateful for the opportunity to attend revival and she fell asleep and forgot to be where she told me to meet her.

I have known people who tried one project to help the homeless and when it didn’t work out the way they hoped, they simply decided to stop trying.

If you’re doing something for God that you had hoped would be more successful faster, keep going. Learn what you can and see how you can improve what you’re doing, but remember, God may have outcomes in store that you don’t expect.

Good things are happening if you care to notice. My two brothers-in-Christ got to know each other while I was out looking for the woman who didn’t show up. Last night I know a man was blessed by our brief interaction even as the man who was going to meet me somehow didn’t make it.

One verse I’ve learned about during the last 20 months goes something like this…

“Do not despise small beginnings…”

Zechariah 4:10 (NLT)

Don’t give up. Keep praying and keep going.

Here’s the song of the day:

Smiling Sheep

Last night was the second night in a row of Bobby Conner preaching at the Fire & Glory Outpouring and night 493 of the revival (and session 201 for me!). Bobby shared more of his personal testimony of God keeping him alive. (I’m pretty sure he’ll be back Sunday night the 26th, but check with Fire & Glory.)

We were invited to come up front and worship and I often see things “in the Spirit” when I worship now. Last night was no exception. One of the things I saw was a smiling sheep which was a representation of me. I am reminded of Psalm 121:8 (NASB) which goes like this:

The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in
From this time forth and forever.

Jesus is the good shepherd and we are the sheep of his hand. The verse above seems written in the same vein, with Jesus being the shepherd and you (and me) being the sheep.

John 10:11

11 “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.

Psalm 95:7-8

7 For He is our God,
And we are the people of His [a]pasture and the sheep of His hand.
Today, [b]if you would hear His voice,
8 Do not harden your hearts, as at [c]Meribah,
As in the day of [d]Massah in the wilderness,

[ All passages are from the New American Standard Bible (NASB) ]

While reading the quotes above I noticed Psalm 95:8 and included it because I think it’s a great gem of a reminder. To me, this reminder is extremely important.

Essentially: If you would [want to] hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.

The song of the day is [are you ready for this!?]…ta dah!…
Peter Frampton’s “Baby I Love Your Way”!

As always…

Delight yourself in the LORD;
And He will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4 (NASB)

See Jack Preach

If you’re like me you like to see different preachers throughout the year. We love Mike McClenahan at Solana Beach Presbyterian Church and Mark McElwee at Heart of God Church in Rancho Bernardo and others in our local area, but the Fire & Glory Outpouring has let us see probably 30 other preachers from around the world in the last year and a half.

Tonight we’ll see Charlie Robinson from Canada to close out that revival’s “I Got The Joy” conference.

This morning we decided to do something different and see Jack Hayford at Grace San Marcos. We even saw a friend from Fire & Glory who, when she saw us, said something like, “You guys are everywhere!”

My wife and I do get around and that led us to the 10 am service this morning as I really wanted to see Dr. Hayford preach because I had never had the privilege before today. We were greeted as soon as we came through the door by Brian Bauer and others. Brian is Jack Hayford’s grandson and the pastor at Grace here in San Marcos. You can read more about Brian and his wife, Melissa, at the Grace link above.

Personally, I urge you to see more than just the preacher at your local church. Even if you can’t attend you can watch a lot of preaching and worship on Youtube.

There’s a long list of wonderful speakers that I could share, but here’s a few to get you started:

Jerame & Miranda Nelson (Elisha Revolution/Fire & Glory)

Shawn Bolz

Darren Stott

Sam Robinson

Georgian & Winnie (Coco) Banov

Mahesh & Bonnie Chavda

Chad Dedmon

Tony Kim

Kris Kildosher

Patricia King

David & Stephanie Herzog

I hope you’ll check out each one of them on Youtube!

By the way, we loved Jack’s preaching this morning along with the worship.

Here’s the song of the day which I searched out early this morning and finally found on this list from Air1.

Around 2:30

Around 2:30 this morning my wife woke up and turned on the fan because it was too hot in our room. Seven years ago we got a memory foam mattress and it IS very comfortable. What we didn’t realize is that the memory foam retains a lot of heat. Apparently, we haven’t quite arrived in the “realm” of cold weather (or Southern California’s version of winter wonderland), when retained heat will be helpful.

Are you retaining your heat? Are you on fire for Jesus? I am.

Do you use different terminology that means the same thing? Hallelujah!

If not, I strongly suggest adding revival to your schedule. Check out ElishaRevolution.com and join us one night a week or more. Think of it as a mini-retreat. Or year-round summer camp.

The Fire & Glory Outpouring (Elisha Revolution) is currently hosted at Heart of God Church in Rancho Bernardo (San Diego).

If you’re on the fence, get off the fence!

Come and experience passionate worship of the Lord God Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth.

Ivan Roman from Oregon is preaching tonight! I hope you’ll love this guy as much as I do! BUT, I’m sure he’ll keep pointing to Jesus.

Here’s the song of the day that the Lord gave me around 2:30 this morning:

You Make Me Brave

Over the last couple months more often than not I sense the Lord giving me a song of the day. Usually this happens between 3 am and 6 am and today he gave me a repeat of the day before yesterday just before 6 am. Repeats don’t happen often, so I decided to take a closer look at the lyrics today. Here’s a You Make Me Brave lyric video of the song by Amanda Cook & Bethel Music.

Sunday’s song of the day was Be Enthroned by Jeremy Riddle. Enjoy.

Caleb Has Entered The Building

Last night was night 450(!) for the Fire & Glory Outpouring and it was night 181 for me. (That’s right, my wife and I are still attending revival regularly!) On the way in a friend and I met Caleb, who has watched Fire & Glory online for four months. Awesome!

Joining worship online at home is wonderful, but Caleb decided to drive from the Ramona area to Heart of God Church in Rancho Bernardo and be physically present with us to worship Jesus in Spirit and Truth. Readers of my blog know that I have done both (including nearly 60 times from our living room or bedroom in our home). I have to give an “edge” to worshiping in the meeting “elbow to elbow” with all the other worshipers. Yet, even worshiping from home is powerful. I was blown away months ago when I first felt the presence of God in my living room while watching/worshiping online. If you are in San Diego County or nearby I encourage you to join us like Caleb did. Last night was night 3 for Caleb. How cool is that!?

What I’ve been told is that each one of us brings something different to worship and I guess that means that worship was a little better because Caleb was there Sunday night. Jerame Nelson also added his voice and preached not long after returning from the revival in London, England! Come and add YOUR voice to our worship!

Here’s one fun thing that’s been happening for me recently:

Maybe a dozen times in the last month the Lord has highlighted a song to me in the early morning. So far, every time it’s been a different song! Here’s this morning’s song – I Won’t Let You Go by Switchfoot.
